Within its set of humanitarian activities, “Color Press Group” visited the Shelter for adult and senior citizens, located in Futog. Employees of the Serbian National Theatre – Sonja Damjanov, an actress, Zoran Subotički, assistant to the manager for programme-related activities, and Ivana Gajić, the head of the Radio Television of Vojvodina production center, as well as Jelena Baćić Alimpić, a writer, joined the visit.
Director of the Shelter, Anđelka Barać, greeted the guests together with kind personnel and smiling protégées, who, in addition to making the guests feel welcome, wished everyone good health, on top of everything, and to smile and be cheerful in the upcoming year.
The guests had an opportunity to see newly renovated rooms in the Shelter, which is one of the best equipped shelters in this region. An abundant feast for protégées and guests was prepared by women who engage in humanitarian activities, whereas friends of this humanitarian activity donated their products. The company organizes this type of humanitarian activity traditionally, for the full eighteen years, and the companies which have joined are: “MK Group” and its member, the company “Sunoko“, “Dahlia“, “Knjaz Miloš”, “Nectar” and “Obuća Metro”.
During another, this year’s holiday season, “Color Press Group” and the company’s friends traditionally visited the Home for mentally challenged children and youth in Veternik, and the Children’s Village in Sremska Kamenica.
The personnel of these institutions, and the smiling faces of their protégées, welcomed us in festive atmosphere, with the wish to socialize more often during the forthcoming year, and with the message that humanitarian aid is needed, but that it is not the most important issue, because a smile and socializing mean much more.
The invitation passed by “Color Press Group” was answered by the company “MK Group” and its member, the “Sunoko” company, which donated 500 kilograms of sugar, the company “Dahlia”, which donated cosmetics for babies and toddlers, “Knjaz Miloš”, “Nectar” and “Obuća Metro”, which also donated their products.
Our friends from “Gastro Planet” catering prepared the chocolate fountain for protégées of the Children’s Village in Sremska Kamenica.
Humanitarian activities of this type have been organized for years, and representatives of “Color Press Group” on a regular basis visit shelters, daily care centres and the Gerontology center. In addition to festive meals, they also prepare other programmes and bring their print publications as presents.
All citizens, restaurants and companies with a wish to take part in charity events organized by “Color Press Group” (the Children’s Village in Sremska Kamenica, the Home for mentally challenged children and youth in Veternik, the Elderly Care Center “Liman”, the Shelter for the homeless in Futog…) can contact us via the following E-mail address: tatjana.dobanovacki@color.rs.
In collaboration with the “Color Press Group” publishing house, for the eighth time in a row, promotion of a special magazine edition in the Serbian language, “The Economist – The World in 2019”, was held at the Faculty of Political Sciences.
The presentation involved the Faculty’s Dean, Professor Dragan R. Simić, PhD, CEO of “Color Press Group” Robert Čoban, Editor-in-Chief of the Serbian version of “The Economist” magazine Žikica Milošević, foreign policy commentator for the “Politika” daily newspaper Boško Jakšić, and foreign policy columnist for “Novi magazin” weekly newspaper Momčilo
Pantelić.
Žikica Milošević
The first to address the audience was Žikica Milošević.
– The time we live in is interesting in a somewhat pervert way. The word of the year is toxic – Milošević said.
He added that this was the time when people listened to themselves alone, and not to each other, and that exactly because of that, identity was the greatest problem of modern society.
Robert Čoban was the next to address the audience.
– Taking as an example Šau Laden, a Belgrade-born Jew, we can see that technology which alienates us can be much useful, especially in journalism – Čoban said, and then mentioned the graphic of the European gross domestic product printed in the magazine, where the success of Ireland, a country with a very strong Catholic tradition, breaks prejudice that economic well-being is only possible in mainly Protestant regions.
Boško Jakšić
– There is no way to avoid trends which Europe of today is facing – from the crisis of public debts, via the migrant crisis, to the so called crisis of politics, which rises from the liberal and illiberal regimes – emphasized Boško Jakšić, adding that illiberal leaders gain points when they defend Christian values, and then make ill-use of the rulership in order to underestimate democracy, liberalism and secular state.
Momčilo Pantelić
Momčilo Pantelić also had the opportunity to express his views.
– Today, every country makes its own decisions, and not only the five big powers. Today only the crises are not crises – Pantelić explained. He pointed out that the situation in the European Union today is reminiscent of the situation right before the Social Federal Republic of Yugoslavia dissolved, emphasizing that the EU lacked decisions concerning unity.
Professor Dragan Simić, PhD
The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dragan R. Simić, PhD, presented the situation from the academic perspective.
– The most difficult task in strategic studies is to predict what will happen in future – the Dean Simić said. The Professor emphasized that “The Economist” magazine managed in its texts, which occupied only one page, to present many important things, including the one of the main issues in 2019 – that today’s USA, i.e. the country’s president, showed to the world what it did not need in any sense – the unpredictability.
This year again, ahead of the holiday season, “Color Press Group” visited the Daily Care Centre for people with autism spectrum disorders ŠOSO “Milan Petrović”.
Always kind, the personnel greeted the representatives of “Color Press Group”, and friends who had taken part in a charity cause by donating their products – the company “Dahlia”, the humanitarian workers who made a real feast, and a kick boxer Nenad Pagonis.
The guests had an opportunity to see what protégés of this institution do in their spare time, what they do in their workshops, and they took home some of the gifts made by protégés, to have as memory.
Our host was also Borko Ninić, to whom, by various donations, including those garnered at “Novi Sad’s Winterfest”, a Toby device had been bought. By using this device, he can communicate with his father and a younger brother, but also with all of us, which we could see for ourselves.
In a humanitarian activity, which the company traditionally organizes for the full 18 years, participated the following companies: “MK Group” and its member, the company “Sunoko”, the “Dahlia” company, “Nectar” and “Obuća Metro”.
In a cheerful atmosphere and with music, “Color Press Group” visited the pensioners in the Liman Care Centre, which is part of the “Novi Sad” Gerontology Centre.
The youngsters and celebrities joined the representatives of “Color Press Group”.
The programme started with a performance of solo singers from the “Music Star” from Beočin.
After that, Ivana Olujić performed songs which belong to the “starogradska muzika” style, and together with her also sang the protégés of the Liman Care Centre.
The programme was presented by a TV presenter Nataša Ilić. Director of the “Novi Sad” Gerontology Centre Slavica Škrbić addressed the audience.
Women engaged in humanitarian activities, who follow all charity activities organized by “Color Press Group” again prepared a festive meal.
With wishes not to lack health and smiling, nor the songs, during 2019, we bid farewell to Novi Sad’s senior citizens, and we promised them that we would organize these gatherings more often.
In a humanitarian activity, which the company traditionally organizes for the full 18 years, participated the following companies: “MK Group” and its member, the company “Sunoko”, the “Dahlia” company, “Nectar” and “Obuća Metro”.
In festive atmosphere, on the occasion of ski season opening (traditional “Ski Opening”) at Jahorina’s “Bistrica” hotel, within the “Jahorina Olympic Centre”, “Hello! Travel: Jahorina” magazine, the eighth in this edition, and many believe the most successful, too, was presented.
The press conference kicked off at 8 PM, when the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Žikica Milošević and director of the “Jahorina Olympic Centre” Dejan Ljevnaić, addressed the journalists and guests in the audience.
Milošević pointed out that we lived in the time when tourism is an extremely popularized industry branch, with the highest annual rise, even at the period of crisis, and new marketing niches are being sought after. The new Generation Y or the Millennium Generation, bring a different set of habits, smaller investments in expensive sports such as skiing, but are very fond of shorter holidays, excursions, and they are eager to try everything, including active tourism. Jahorina, as the biggest development potential of the Republic of Srpska, has preserved its resources untouched, and it is not a place for daily trips, like the Olympic mountain Bjelasica, but for holidays, high quality skiing and overnight stays. Social networks are the perfect tool for spreading the word about tourist destinations, including Jahorina, having in mind that one good picture can be easily shared over the Facebook or Instagram, and can attract many adventure seekers to engage in winter sports or summer adrenaline adventures, maybe at this “Olympic beauty”, Milošević concluded.
Dejan Ljevnaić, the active force of Jahorina’s new development, the “Olympic Centre” and “Bistrica” hotel, after two works in business, mentioned a huge advancement registered at Jahorina. At the Ski Opening 2017, as few as 140 skiers were present, whereas only one year later, as many as 2,500 skiers were registered. The “Olympic Centre” has invested primarily in revitalization of ski paths, which are now on a high level, and for this season, the quality is higher in many aspects. It is of extreme importance, as Ljevnaić emphasized, to attract children to the mountain, and as a matter of fact, children can make their first steps in “the white sport” at Jahorina. Therefore, investments in skiing schools and ski paths for beginner are one of priorities.
Following the conference, a spectacular party was held, where the famous band “Crvena jabuka” performed in front of hundreds of people in the audience
Organized by the Embassy of Sweden and “Color Media Communication”, on December, 12th “St. Lucia Celebration and Abba Party” was held in “Bitef Art Café”. Swedish Ambassador to Serbia Jan Lundin and “Color Press Group” CEO Robert Čoban addressed the audience. Ambassador Lundin expressed pleasure because of celebrating Swedish traditional holiday Saint Lucia, which is in December, and also because of devoting the evening to the band ABBA, one of the best-selling and most popular groups in the world. Čoban said that the gathering was organized because of anticipation that the band ABBA might be reunited and go on a tour again, and the “ABBA Real Tribute Band” from Zrenjanin performed at the party. Before the band’s performance, the Lucia songs were performed by the choir “Glas NE žice”. In Sweden, celebration of Saint Lucia is a tradition taking place each December to mark the arrival of light into dark mornings of the winter months. Saint Lucia is a girl who, for this holiday, has a candle in her hand, and with support from her followers, performs traditional Lucia songs. She represents a symbol of that light. In the gorgeous ambience of the “Bitef Art Cafe”, the guests relished the Swedish specialties and hits by the band ABBA.
Last night, in Belgrade’s “Hilton” hotel, the seventh in a row conference “The Economist: The World in 2019” was finalized with a gala dinner. The conference was devoted to discussions on results from 2018 and anticipations for development in 2019. It was held in the Serbian National Assembly, and it was organized by the company “Color Media Communications”. The panel session of the gala dinner “Serbia in 2019” involved Sem Fabrizi, the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, and Dubravka Negre, the Head of the European Investment Bank Regional Representation for the Western Balkans. Negre pointed out that the EIB was very satisfied with the year which we were leaving behind us, because in Serbia alone, the EIB Group during 2018 signed investment contracts worth more than EUR 500 m, making it the highest amount since 2011. “The EIB and the Serbian Government work on capital projects for infrastructure, but we also support the private sector. In the previous year, our group orientated more than EUR 300 m to support small and medium sized enterprises. Accordingly, we supported business of entrepreneurs with innovations, and in addition, we enabled 40.000 workers to find a job”, Negre said. Fabrizi said that the future of the Western Balkans was in the European Union, and that this year was of importance to the EU in terms of legal regulations. He also said that in front of Serbia, and other countries of the SEE region, there were many further challenges on the road to join the EU. According to him, predictions for the economic sphere in 2019 should be left to experts from the field of economics, but he said he believed that Serbia should remain on the right road towards the EU, because it had already entered “deep into the system”. Tanja Miščević, Chief Negotiator, was the moderator of the session. Members of the diplomatic corps, distinguished representatives of Serbian economy and international companies, and from the sector of private business, attended the gala dinner.

In the category of women’s monthlies, the first position is occupied by “Lepota i zdravlje” magazine, the same as in all surveys conducted over the past fifteen years. The best-selling glossy celebrity magazine is “Gloria”. The survey featured 4.445 Serbian citizens.
The most influential women’s magazine “Ubavina i zdravje” celebrated its tenth anniversary accompanied with more than 300 guests. The hosts granted awards to their long-time collaborators – “Golden Female Oscars” and thank-you notes for support provided in this digital era, which defies the print editions, and therefore the fact that a magazine can survive a decade is huge success, celebrated as it should be: with plenty of awards, surprises and in great atmosphere.
At the very entrance, the guests were welcomed with presents provided by the company “Mlekara AD Bitola” (“Bimilk”), whereas on each chair there were goody bags by “Vichy” and drug stores “Eliksir Ekskluziv”. The company “Coca – Cola” was in charge of refreshments, whereas “Opel” also provided support for the celebration. All guests participated in a draw where valuable presents were granted. Clients of “Ubavina i zdravje” magazine were in charge of providing these presents.
A formal celebration was opened when a TV hostess Elena S. Jankovska, who embellished one of ten cover pages of the premium edition of “Ubavina i zdravje” magazine, invited the magazine’s Editor-in-chief Jovana Stojmenović to join her on stage and greet the audience.

According to a survey of magazine readership in Serbia, conducted by IPSOS in the period between March, 1 st and March, 31 st – the top of the list remained unchanged. Out of 15 best- selling magazines in Serbia, “Color Press Group” publishes more than two thirds – as many as 11 magazines. In the Top 40, “Color Press Group” has more than half – 23 magazines, “Ringier Axel Springer” and “Politika AD” – four, the “Novosti” company – two, whereas “Adria Media” has – one magazine. For the fourth year in a row, the editorial crew of “Lepota i zdravlje” magazine, together with its readers, participated at the Fruška Gora Marathon, which again gathered a huge number of hiking fans, marathon runners, fans of nature, and fans of Fruška Gora Mountain.
41. Fruška Gora Marathon had special charm because all hikers and fans of nature were followed by the Sun and wonderful spring weather. The path of “Lepota i zdravlje”, 23 kilometres long, perhaps seemed unbeatable at first sight, but our friends from “Mg Mivela” did their best to provide some refreshment – products “Mg Mivela”, “Jana” and “Jana vitamins” for all participants at three control points.
More than 30 participants of the #LZmaraton2018 path, wearing branded T-shirts with our magazine’s logo, on the way to the finish line had the opportunity to enjoy special “markers of the L&Z path” – quotations uttered by the world’s greatest thinkers. Each of our messages was at the same time motivation for participants to continue until the finish line.
Tamara Vukobrat, a reader of “Lepota i zdravlje” magazine, this year made a probable record of our path, because she reached the finish line in 4 hours and 56 minutes. Although the path #LZmaraton2018 was not included in the competition, we were utterly surprised how quickly the participant managed to finish the race. According to her own words, it was just a little bit more difficult only in the beginning, and later she enjoyed beautiful ambience of Fruška Gora the most. Tamara received as a gift a weekend for two people in the gorgeous Country Club “Zdravkovac”. Their weekend will be a pure pleasure, judging from the photographs of the “Zdravkovac” club, which you can see here.
Next participants to finish the race, readers Jovana Nešić and Jovana Jovković, were granted rucksacks by the prestigious Swedish brand specialized in outdoor equipment “Fjällräven Kånken Greenland”. The rucksacks are made of recycled materials.

“Diplomacy & Commerce” magazine, affiliate of London’s magazine “The Economist”, celebrated its second birthday on Thursday, 22nd of March in the new “Bitef Art Cafe”.
In addition to celebrating the magazine’s second anniversary, DIPLOMACY & COMMERCE Awards at the event were granted to individuals, companies and organizations which excelled in humanitarian activism, CSR activities, merging of business with culture, and contribution to improvement of business conditions, bilateral cooperation, civil society and economic environment in Serbia.
“Diplomacy & Commerce Awards” were granted in eight categories to companies and organizations, including the award for contribution in civil society development and business environment in Serbia.
Jury members selected the winners. The jury was comprised of: Marko Čadež, Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Martin Knapp, AHK, Sanja Ivanić, CCIFS, Mirjana Kojić, CCIS, Ana Grujović, SSCC, Marija Radulović, HPK, Danijela Fišakov, SPK, Fanina Kovačević, HBA, Ruža Ristanović, DC, Robert Čoban, CPG CEO.
Magazine’s director Ruža Ristanović pointed out that among the nominees there were more than 60 companies and organizations, and that the jury’s task was not easy at all. Two companies had the same number of votes in the category of humanitarian activities and the jury made a decision for both companies to be awarded.
CEO of “Color Press Group” Robert Čoban expressed gratitude to all the guests and emphasized: “In the latest version of the “Orient Express” movie, due to a snowstorm the train gets stuck somewhere between Vinkovci and Slavonski Brod. However, in the movie, we see the flat Slavonija looking like the Italian Alps, where these scenes were shot. The movie director obviously thought that a plain was not interesting and inspirational enough for the viewers. This is a very common case with our media, especially those who address the foreigners, where the truth is often coloured just in one colour. Two years ago, when we launched “Diplomacy & Commerce” magazine, our idea was just the opposite – for readers, Serbian and foreign alike – to get the idea of how the Serbian economic, political and public scene is really like, with all shades, positive movements and difficulties.
Why was “The Orient Express” the them of this year’s event? In its several routes, over the past 135 years, this train was connecting 10 countries, from Great Britain in the West, all the way to Istanbul in Turkey. Great Britain launched its exit from the European Union, Serbia and Turkey are not members yet, Switzerland has no wish to be a member, whereas the other countries along the route are the EU members. Regardless of their status, all 10 countries are located in Europe, and in addition to the railway road, we are all connected by belonging to the same continent and by striving for the same values. Since our last year’s gathering, we launched the Croatian edition of “Diplomacy & Commerce” and a number of new conferences and events.”
The guests relished the food provided by eight international types of cuisine along the legendary “Orient Express” blue route. The food was prepared by chefs from the restaurant “Stanica 1884”. They also enjoyed performances of the bands “Sputñik”, led by the editor-in-chief of the magazine Žikica Milošević, and “Girls, Boys & Toys”.
The celebration was attended by a large number of guests, representatives from the Serbian Government, diplomatic corps, political, cultural and public life in Serbia, including: Gordana Predić, State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Commissioner for the protection of equality Brankica Janković, advisor of CEO of PKS Mihajlo Vesović, German Ambassador Axel Dittmann, Bulgarian Ambassador Radko Vlaykov, Slovene Ambassador Vladimir Gasparič, Swiss Ambassador Phillip Gue, Turkish Ambasador Tanju Bilgiç, Israeli Ambassador Alona Fisher Kamm, Ambassadors of Egypt, Korea, Qatar, Algeria, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, representatives of Italian, French, Polish and other Embassies. President of the Government of Vojvodina Igor Mirović, the Province’s Secretary for economy and tourism Ivan Đoković, more than 30 ambassadors and diplomatic corps representatives (ambassadors of the USA, Canada, Israel, Croatia, Montenegro, Norway, Qatar, Indonesia, Cyprus, Lebanon, Albania, Egypt, Morocco and Slovenia, as well as deputies of ambassadors from Russia, Great Britain, Germany, Romania, Austria, Greece, Denmark, Poland and Korea), representatives of international companies, chambers of commerce, tourist agencies, hoteliers and the media, got on the Blue Train in Belgrade.
During the train ride from Belgrade to Sremski Karlovci, the travellers had the opportunity to view the exhibition entitled “The Blue Train and the “Galeb” ship from “Tanjug” archives”, but also to take photographs in compartments and private chambers that once were used by Josip Broz Tito.
On the station in Sremski Karlovci, the guests were greeted by President of Municipality of Sremski Karlovci Nenad Milenković and director of Tourist Organization of Vojvodina Nataša Pavlović. After s short tourist sightseeing tour in Sremski Karlovci, the guests gathered in the gorgeous ambience of the “Premier Prezident” hotel.
When addressing the guests in Sremski Karlovci, President of the Province’s Government Igor Mirović pointed out that the Province’s Government gave support to this event, a ride on the Blue Train and a visit to Sremski Karlovci, in order to promote, above all, touristic potential of Vojvodina. He emphasized the importance of several ambassadors and representatives of tourism being present so that information could be exchanged and plans and values of Vojvodina recognized.
“In Vojvodina, number of tourists is on the rise, as well as profit from tourism, which is also the case in the entire country”, said Mirović, adding that tourism was the growing field in our country, and will continue to be a factor in further rise and development. Mirović also said that this year in Vojvodina coordination was launched between the Province’s Government and eight biggest cities in Vojvodina, with the objective to promote Vojvodina’s potential in the country and abroad. He anticipated further activities of the kind.
Robert Čoban, CEO of “Color Press Group”, started his speech by paraphrasing the famous statement uttered by Winston Churchill, in harmony with the idea behind the “Hello! Travel” project:
“We shall promote our country what ever the cost may be. We believe that values of Vojvodina and Serbia, not only when it comes to tourism, but in terms of many issues, would be such that we would not hold any effort, time, money, to promote them. It was not hard for us to launch the Blue Train, to bring our friends from embassies and many countries here, to bring the media… Some of the most beautiful parts of Europe are located in Vojvodina, in Serbia. I think that our mission is in front of you, our friends from abroad, the media, but also in front of ourselves, to promote our country and say that those are the places where you can see something nice, where we can rest and find friends.”
In the hotel “Premier Prezident: Sremski Karlovci” the guests enjoyed the performance by the tambura orchestra “Romansa” and wines from Karlovci’s wine cellars, whereas during the return journey by the Blue Train to Belgrade, they enjoyed the bermet in kuglofs.
The promotion was organized by the company “Color Media Communications” with the support from the Province’s Government.
The promotion was aid by “Apatinska pivara”, “Volvo” and “Minaqua”.
Following the huge success of “Hello! Travel” magazine editions devoted to Budva, Serbian mountain resorts, Montenegro, Novi Sad, and Zlatibor, a two-language edition entitled “Hello! Travel: Vojvodina” is now on sale on markets of Serbia, FYRO Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro, whereas the magazine can also be found in all tourist objects in Vojvodina. By creating this magazine, once again we got a reminder of Vojvodina’s beauties, its cultural and historical heritage, and its touristic potential.
